Eric Garcetti is skipping town again for a week-long educational seminar in Israel, where he’ll join other mayors (getting things done) in “[learning] about Israel’s vibrant democracy, diverse society, and regional challenges.” Because what better place to learn about democracy and diversity than a contemporary apartheid state? Maybe he’s looking for tips on how to handle the upcoming 2028 Olympic sweeps, especially with the LAPD picking up some deadly new tricks from the IDF.
